Administration

Antonette Wilson - Principal

Welcome to Cross Bayou Elementary School. I am Antonette Wilson, and I am excited that I get to be the principal of Cross Bayou Elementary School. I have twenty-six years of experience, fifteen of which have been in administration. Cross Bayou is a school where students are intellectually ambitious, curious, and engaged. Our amazing teachers and support staff work intently every day to provide student experiences that help every student grow intellectually, socially, behaviorally, and emotionally.

Throughout the year there will be several exciting events taking place on campus and in the classrooms. I urge you to participate in such events as well as get involved with our school PTA and become a member of the School Advisory Council. We thrive off partnering with parents, families, guardians, and our community. However, the greatest benefactors are the students at Cross Bayou Elementary School.

Our school vision is 100% Student Success. We will achieve this through our mission of engaging, educating, and empowering our students to be lifelong learners. Our school’s core values are Care for Others, Be Responsible, Exhibit Perseverance, and Show Respect.

I am looking forward to a year of growing and learning. It is my plan to continue to focus on increasing student achievement and doing whatever it takes to help each and every student be successful and love coming to school every day. Learning is engaging and fun, elementary school is where we initiate children’s love for learning.

Brandie Miller - Assistant Principal

Welcome!

My name is Brandie Miller, and I am thrilled to serve as the Assistant Principal at Cross Bayou Elementary. With 26 years in education, I have had the pleasure of teaching 3rd, 4th, and 5th grades at Southern Oak and Lakewood Elementaries. I also served as MTSS coach and assistant principal at Southern Oak for five years before joining Cross Bayou.

I am a proud product of Pinellas County Schools, having attended Cross Bayou and Pinellas Central Elementaries, Morgan Fitzgerald Middle, and Pinellas Park High School. I earned my B.S. in Elementary Education from the University of South Florida and my master’s degree in educational leadership from Saint Leo University.

Family means the world to me. My oldest daughter, Madison, is 23 and studying corporate accounting at Arizona State University. Cassidy, my youngest, is 21 and attends SPC. They are my pride and joy—feel free to ask me about them if you have a few minutes!

I am passionate about education and committed to fostering a positive environment, even when challenges arise. If you see me on campus, please say hello. I welcome your suggestions and feedback as we continually strive to improve our school community.
